fell asleep on the changing table-he is very sleepy today(7/24)

i tried a 0-3 month sleep-n-play-way too small-he was NOT happy

I am 3 weeks old today!

Baby comes early!!!!!

On Sunday, May 31st, my water broke at around 10:30 PM (4 weeks early). 20 hours later, at around 6:30 pm Monday, June 1st, our precious Briggs was born! Here are a few early pictures so everyone can get to know him. More to come!

nursery update

these were photos taken of the nursery april 25th. the bulk of the work was done. we still need to hang the mirror above the changing table. thanks to peige, we now have a crib mattress and a mobile thanks to mandi. the nursery is also outfitted w/ all the essentials since the baby showers. and can i just say, we have been showered with such love and generosity. thank you everyone. thank you to those who have given hand me downs; they are much appreciated. we are so blessed!!!

nursery

bo and his mom have done some amazing work on the nursery. they took up the carpet, staples, tack board, sanded and did 2 coats on the baseboards. all that's left is to cut in at the baseboards then they'll clean the floor and we'll be ready to move in furniture.
my mom has found a great fabric for the rocker and the rocker is at the upholsterer.
i don't know what i'd do w/o all the help.
i still have to get frames matted so i can mount book pages for wall decor. things are coming together nicely.

i have officially entered the 3rd trimester and i passed my glucose tolerance test. my blood sugar was 97, thank you very much. much relieved that i don't have to worry about the baby having too much sugar running through my blood and so glad i can have that dessert when i'm craving it. and also to all those naysayers of the test - it truly wasn't that bad!
